* How do I take "accurate" measurements?

***(IN INCHES ONLY..) PLEASE measure:

From shoulder to shoulder, armpit to armpit, around the widest part of your hips, around the widest part of your upper arms and then lastly from your shoulder to as long as you prefer the gown to be. PLEASE BE SURE TO ADD EXTRA INCHES on top of the measurements to ensure personal level of comfort and more importantly=modesty.



* Do you only cater to plus size Muslims?
Although we make special exceptions for our plus and also tall Muslim Clientele, we cater to Muslims of all heights and sizes alhamdulillah.



* Do you offer payment plans?
Alhamdulillah YES we offer Layaway plans catering to various budgets. Normally 12 weeks is given to clear off the outstanding balance after making the initial 20-30% deposit, if extension of time is request; it is normally granted.



* Is the length the same as the size?
No, PLEASE ENSURE ACCURACY when submitting measurements and kindly refer to the DIAGRAM to the right.



* What materials can I choose from?
1.Internet = 100% non see through polyester
2. Lexus = Polyester and wool peach mix
3. Satin = Smooth Silky Cloth
4. Nidha = 100% Polyester, Lighter Weight and Softer



* What does "length" stand for?
This represents your height or the desired height of your gown in inches.



* HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?? Please use the "Shipping Calculator" (provided at the upper-right part of each page. Click on where it says VIEW CART then click on the tab that says SHIPPING CALCULATOR and then enter your shipping info (unless you live outside of USA and/or Canada). If you live outside of North America then proceed to go through the checkout process and a estimate will be given/provided in the next window.



* WHY IS SHIPPING COST HIGH(er)? This is to ensure that accurate rates are put into place, UrbanMuslimahs.com does NOT charge a "markup", any excess amount will be promptly refunded back to your Paypal.com account (if applicable).



* Do you accept Money Orders?
Yes we do, if shipping outside of Canada please make sure that the money order is marked INTERNATIONAL via USPS or the local certified agent in your Country.



*Does any your Abayas come with pockets?
We are sooo pleased to ANNOUNCE that almost any style can be made with pockets for additional $4 per Abaya


* Why are your gowns sold like this?
Quite simply because no 2 Women are designed the same.. some have thicker arms, other thicker waistlines, some are taller(others not so much), so there is no way that I would provide a "1 size for all" Gown, not unless of "Butterfly" design.



* I'm not sure how to convert my subtotal into my currency

* I've e-mailed you three times this week and haven't gotten a reply yet
One e-mail is sufficient as we get many e-mails on a daily basis and have to reply to them all in a chronological basis, please take note that they are lodged and will be replied to within 24-48 business hours.

* Where is my order? If you have not gotten a shipment update status via e-mail it is because your item has not either received at our location or has not be shipped as yet, but rest assured it will be within 24-48hrs if it has arrived; please have a bit of patience and you will be updated as soon as we are am insha'Allah.



* I selected FedEx/Canada Post delivery and got the other instead There will be times that either of the 2 methods will be more expensive, the idea/goal is to keep costs as low as possible to our Customers meanwhile giving the fastest delivery method. Either will be sent with tracking information no matter what. The difference in cost will be refunded via U.M dollars.



* HOW LONG will it take for my order to arrive?
If you are ordering standard stock(Gowns that are currently in-stock and are not in need to be customized), you will get your order within 24hrs if in the Toronto area, within 48 hours if in Canada and within 4 business days if in America (INTERNATIONAL ORDERS TAKE a minimum of 10 business days).



* And if my order has to be custom-made due to width/length requirements?
Your order will be taken and submitted twice per month along with other orders. It/they will be traced, cut, sewn and finished; packaged to be shipped within 10-15 business days to our location. Once your order has arrived at my location; they will be mailed out within 1-2 business days(for shipping arrival please read ABOVE).



* What happens if I miscalculated my measurements?
Unfortunately this can happen and due to this we offer a store credit policy, the incorrectly measured (UNWORN OUTSIDE OF THE HOME & UNDAMAGED)item is returned at YOUR EXPENSE and we will contact you back via e-mail personally to walk you through the correct process in gathering your measurements; depending on if a order has already been placed or pending will result in the perhaps additional delay of the delivery(for example: If I already placed a new order and you have contacted me after the fact, it will be added with the upcoming order insha'Allah).

** Please note beginning August 1st, any non-custom made Abaya orders which are incorrectly measured by Customers will also be subjected to a refund via paypal.com less 10% for restocking. Custom-made orders will ONLY be offered Store credit as always.



* When is your Eid deadline?
The last order will be submitted on OCTOBER 1st, this is to ensure delivery back to my location and understandably Ramadan and Eid is a VERY busy time of the year for Muslim Businesses, so this will ensure that all orders will be submitted in enough time insha'Allah ta'ala.



* Do you offer layaway?
Because I can understand and appreciate the various budgets that can often be faced; I do offer a maximum of 10 layaway accounts per month(PLEASE NOTE that for Custom-made Abayas; your order WILL NOT be placed until you clear your balance, this is due to a few changing their minds and me getting "stuck" with Abayas catered to specific measurements.
